The UpTown Association is excited to announce the return of the Art Walks! The Thursday Art Walks are a great way to explore local art, enjoy the numerous galleries and meet the talented local artists in UpTown Toledo, as well as the surrounding areas of Downtown Toledo and the Warehouse District.
The UpTown Association works diligently to attract hundreds of patrons to Adams Street in UpTown Toledo during the Art Walks by providing food trucks, art vendors, live entertainment, and specials in shops, bars and restaurants. Pedi-Cabs will be available to take people from the UpTown Art Walks to the Downtown Art Walks for free!
May 22: Bicycle Bonanza
After the long winter, attendees are encouraged
to finally get outside and ride their bikes to the Art
Walk and to visit all of the great studios, shops,
and restaurants in Uptown and Downtown Toledo.
Bicycle themed booths and events will also occur
along Adams Street in Uptown.
June 26: Cultural Explosion
Diversity is what makes Toledo thrive. We will
celebrate the diversity in Toledo through activities
highlighting our communities. We will also get a
sneak peak at all of the great cultural festival
Toledo will offer throughout the summer of 2014.
July 24: Dog Days of Summer
Back by popular demand, UpTown Toledo will be
invaded by our furry, four-legged friends.
Pet-friendly activities, rescue organizations and
animal-focused groups will be on hand to
celebrate man’s best friend. Be sure to bring them
along...on a leash, of course!
August 28: There’s Something About the Circus
Erin Morgensten once said, “Something about the
circus stirs their souls, and they ache for it when it
is absent.” In that spirit, this colorful, whimsical
theme will encompass the August Art Walk and
invite us all to stay young and enjoy the show.
September 25: Celluloid Toledo
As the days become shorter and stars fill the sky,
we will embrace the darkness. UpTown will round
out the summer with a concentration on film and
video with viewings of various films indoors and
outdoors (weather permitting).
